The 2012 Homecoming court was announced on Sept. 27.
Emily Rasmussen, who is on the coronation committee, told the nominees that they made court.
“Everyone was pretty excited,” said Rasmussen. “Some had pretty funny reactions while others were in disbelief.”
Rasmussen said she believes that the court this year is a good representation of the Wartburg student body.
“We met the candidates last week and they all seem like great candidates,” Rasmussen said.
Overall, Rasmussen said she believes people are excited for Homecoming in general.
Besides Homecoming court coronation, homecoming festivities include Kastle Kapers, the Pepfest and the actual Homecoming football game against Dubuque on Oct. 20.
Students will vote for king and queen online. A link will be sent out and direct students to a site where they can place their votes for Homecoming king and queen.
King and Queen will be announced during Kastle Kapers.
