Men’s XC 19th in massive 45-team field

No. 33 Wartburg finished 19th out of 45 men’s cross country teams at the Wis.-Oshkosh AAE Invitational on Saturday.

D-III No. 1 North Central beat D-II No. 2 Grand Valley State 36-69 for the team title.

Chase Moser led the Knights with a 36th-place finish and a time of 25:23. His brother, Bennett, was 108th in 26:05.

JJ Frawley (137th, 26:24), Eli Kaczinski (147th, 26:31) and Lee Scott (156th, 26:38) also scored for Wartburg.

Ryan Hermsen (26:44) was 164th and Zach Marpe (26:46) took 166th out of 664 runners.

Grand Valley State’s Alan Peterson won the race in a time of 24:33.
