Legendary Wartburg wrestling head coach Jim Miller will retire after this season, athletic director Rick Willis announced today.

Miller took over the Knight’s program in 1991 and has won 20 straight Iowa Conference championships and nine national championships during his tenure.

Wartburg has won the last two NCAA Division III national championships and four of the last five. They have finished in the top two in 17 of the last 21 years.

The Knights have won 159 consecutive IIAC dual matches over the last 15 seasons.

Co-head coach Eric Keller will take over the program.
